i installed my painted lowers saturday and got it out today and a notice alot od wind in my face and hitting my head...not sure i like it. anyone else feel this or is it just that im not used to it.
1. do you have an air baffle? If not, then get one. it mounts
under the batwing between the forks and directs the wind
instead of up to you between the tank and fairing.
2. I like the customflhtwindshield , they are about 4" wider
than stock and help tremendously with buffeting.
I like the shield I posted earlier, BUT, the stock shield
is no good IMHO. There are several others out there
that would do a better job, that would help. I think
you will want to put the baffle back on after trying
without it but give it a shot. I also have the chrome
lowers that mount on your forks $65.00 I think. They
say not for bikes with lowers but they can be adjusted
to clear no problem and that helped also, may take them
off for more airflow when it gets HOT here.

Tell you what, Take 'em off, send 'em to me and I'll put 'em on my bike and ride around for uhn, let's see, about a year or so and I'll let you know if I have the same problem, ok?
i have a stock windshield, just cut it down today an inch...seems to be a little better. taking the fork baffle of did stop some wind on my legs...didnt notice any difference anywhere else...and the guy that wants me to send him the lowers to try for a year, no problem...just send me 600 for shipping and will get them right out
Funny when I had my 09 EGC I added lowers and the fairing wind deflectors and thought the same thing. Seemed like it tunneled the wind straight up in my face more so than before I installed them. Dunno if it was one or the other or both working together that caused it though.
