Default Axle nut torque adapter....

don't have one. What now?

I am removing the rear wheel on a friends bike. The dealer has to have his service guy order tools so I am waiting on that. In the meantime, what are my options? Patience is not my longsuit.

If you know the axle nut size you could make one. I make alot of my own special torque adapters out of some of my older sockets and wrenches. Sometime you just need to extend them by cutting them in half and adding a piece of pipe. Of course you will need access to a welder for most of it. Just a thought.

Yea pretty sure 7/16 won't work, 36mm is right though.

I didn't have to remove the muffler, I think I did loosen the saddle bag supports if I remember correctly.

I used a big crescent wrench to do mine and I torqued it to good and tight.

That's scary stuff, Good & Tight might work with women but not with a rear axle on a motorcycle....

It needs to be in the area of 100 Ft/Lbs you know!!!!!

Please spend the $21 at HF for their 1/2" torque wrench........
