any pics of this embossing on the new bracket? I swear my bikes leans over too far, but the build date is 4/09. But my bracket is smooth in the back. I wonder if the 'correct' bracket was taken off to make a different customer happy, before I purchased it...??
the picture wouldn't copy. this thread is copied from an earlier thread here and the picture is there. before i got my new one I sectioned lengthwise a piece of rubber hose and inserted in the slot towards the inside to lift the bike. it gave me enough lift to know i wanted the new bracket.
you may already have the new bracket, looks like they changed early in run. did you find out if you have the old or new bracket yet?
I wish I knew! manufacture date of my scoot is 4/09. This is supposedly after they switched to the new bracket. But i've read here, the new bracket has some emobossing, or stamping on it. mine is smooth on the back. (looking from the air filter side of bike, at bracket).
I'm sooooo confused...hahah
