Ok all need some help. I am getting my D&D's from DR. VTwin in the mail tomo (thanks guys) and I already have a Power Commander V. I need to get an AC set up. I have a 2010 FLHX what is going to work the best with this set up. Its hitting the dyno next week and I want to complete the set up before I get it done. I like the heavy breather and I can grab one for $210.00 from my dealer in chrome but I would like your suggestions on what performance wise is the best. I could give a crap about looks, I want performance as sometime this summer I will be doing the 103 Stage IV. Thanks for any advice.
Call and talk to Tim. Great guy IMO. Several members here have and love the Doherty AC. Pure performance and a a VERY nice piece of work. Not cast like many others.
The Heavy Breather is a nice unit and it lets you ride a little less bowlegged than a traditional type. I had the High Flow SE with stock cover on my 2008 FLHX and replaced it with a Heavy Breather and like it better for that reason. Also it will work with the SE 58mm TB also if you go that route with the Stage IV, most other air cleaners won't.
