I have a 2009 RG with ABS and there's nothing there, I have the big void too? Thought it would make a great spot for some tools though. Wonder what it's for?

Update: I recently discovered I don't have ABS and it was listed on my "Bill of Sale", so it may be used for ABS. Now I need to figure out how to get reimburessed after a year.

My First bike was a RK, i use to hide my Glock 27 there. couldn't get to it fast, but i had one if i broke down....
