After a nose-to-the-handlebar emergency stop with my Bob (an imbecile making an illegal left turn in front of me), I began thinking about ABS brakes. Never have read anything about the ABS for Harleys. All my biker friends with ABS say it is a life saver. Any ideas out there or info about HD and ABS.
From what I understand, it is now an option on some of the Ultras--however, not being an Ultra fan, I could be wrong. Maybe someday they will offer it on all models--
Harley puts ABS on their Touring Models. Not sure if you can mod a Dyna to make the ABS off of a touring model work. Could be worth looking into if you want ABS on yours. I am sure down the road it will be a federal requirement for all cars and motorcyles to have ABS.
ABS has been offered on the police model from some time now. 2008 in offered on touring and v-rod models. I had it on my last bike, BMW, and it works great. rain or wet roads, in a corner hammer does brakes and no skidding. The one problem with the BMW, to have them setup or adjusted was a $400 bill.
real good article about it I think it was in V twin magazine. Guys were on some kind of surface that replicated ice, basically they could not stop on the surface without using the ABS, when the ABS was turned off they laid the bike over every time. I would happily take ABS if it were offered. Another one of those items Harley should have made standard years ago.

I keep hearing about that article but apparently I'm too stupid to find it. If anyone has it and can scan it for me I'd appreciate it very much. Always been a fan of ABS but it would be good to see the testing they did.
The ABS brakes either comes on the bike new you right now its not a add on. It cost like 750 more on a new bike that it was ordered with. Think it has something to do with the computer.
