I had my left knee scoped yesterday. Torn meniscus. I hope I'll be good to go by Thunder Beach in late April. Have any of you had this surgery and how long was it before you could ride. The weather is about to be RIGHT and here I sit with an elevated leg complete with ice pack. So what do you guys think...How long?
All they did was scope it? You should be good in a week or so IMHO. I had meniscus surgery and was riding in a month. Probably should'nt have been, but I was. The next time I just had it scoped. I was washing the car in 2 days.
With this said, listen to your doc!! Mine still ain't right. Not enough blood flow in that area to allow for healing if they are just trying to repair..
I'm a ups driver and plan on taking it easy to get healed because when I return to work it's ball to the walls. I had it scoped for a meniscus tear and hoefully I can be on the bike in four weeks or so. I can't think of better rehab than riding my bike. Thanks!
I hope you make out better than I did with my wrist, I popped some ligaments and I couldn't ride for about 9 months. didn't have the strength in my hand to squeeze the clutch. that was a long 9 months

Man that sucks!! I'd go completely crazy for 9 months. Glad to hear you're back!
I just had my right knee scoped on tuesday. Had some hardware removed and a torn meniscuis. It s pretty swollen yet but im up and around without crutches. I am hoping to be up and back on the scoot by next week! Its getting so nice here I really want to ride. How many weeks have you guys been out of work with this type of surgery?

My Doc told me six weeks before I could start back jumping on and off the brown truck. Once I go back to work it's buisness as usual,no sympathy so I'll have to get pretty solid before I go back. I'm hoping to get on the bike pretty soon.
Had the same thing done on both knees. Missed about a month of work on the fist knee, 4 months on the second. First knee was during winter, did not affect riding. Had the second knee done last summer, took about 3 weeks before I could ride.
