I replaced the front turnlock with a stainless bolt and locking nut on both bags. Just because I has heard of others losing theirs due to broken fasteners.
Today started well with sunshine and a trip out to North Yorkshire to get some miles on my hog. To show how at piece I was with the world I even let the trouble and strife come along . After a couple of hours at a roundabout a car pulled up alongside and helpfully advised that my right side saddlebag had parted company with the bike some 5 miles back . At which point the wife says 1. Did you not screw them on properly? 2. I thought I heard something come off, but didn't notice the saddlebag was missing when I looked.... Needless to say a thorough search back along the road proved fruitless, and now I'm in need of a replacement RHKC saddlebag.

We hear this story all the time. Our SaddlebagSecureŽ prevents this, but you can still get your bags off quickly when you need to.
I now know of two people with 2011 HDs that had their saddlebag fall off. Both were fixed under their warranty. I don't know the exact particulars, but it may have been that the washers were missing, allowing the fastener pull through the rubber.
We're running a contest to name our newest product - designed to secure the tour pacs and pillion backrests. The thread is here. Winning entry wins the product or another product of equal value, and it doesn't cost anything to try!
