Yeah, it's definately louder -- they must have tweaked the gains in the software update. Also, I noticed the points where the "auto-variable volume" feature (forgot the official name) kicks up the volume have changed. It kicks it up at 30 and 50mph -- before I think it was 35 and 60mph. Between the hogtunes and this software upgrade I don't feel that any other tweaking or modification is needed on the HK stereo for me.
I did the update today during lunch. Haven't had the chance to listen yet.
I followed the instructions and even burnt the CD at 4x, just to make sure. It took 12 minutes to update but went smoothly. The only thing different from the instructions was it automatically ejected the CD (as mentioned by someone else). Anyway, it was a slow but uneventful process. One thing, make sure you don't close the CD door and, some CD's because of the colors can mess up in reading and burning...food for thought.
Third attempt and no luck. First attempt @ 8x cd kicked out on it's own after first restart and screen said " incorrect cd " . The last attempt @ 4x cd stayed in but display showed incorrect cd after first restart. For those of you that have been succesful any chance of emailing the unzipped file? I have tried both on a mac and a widows machine. Thanks in advance for any help. By the way my software screen still shows 1 line @7.4 and 1 line @ 8.9. That was after the first attempt. Thanks again
Hey is there a charge using their CD? I dont know if I need an upgrade yet with the 07. I have to look at the book to see if they tell you how to check.
you guys say your installing version 8.9 but the link takes me to version 8.19. Seems that I read herethat version has a lot of bugs and problems. Any info?
