Default KBB value

Am I losing my mind? I'm gettin up there in age and mileage but I thought I still had my marbles. I just looked back on a KBB value for an 87 Electra and the values seem to be about a grand lower than they were just a few months ago. Did these models drop in value or am I just losing it? You would think the touring models would book higher than a softail the same year, and I thought they did but now they are lower. Makes no sense to me.

Is it possible KBB updated their valuations after the last time you checked?

KBB values are a little off sometimes. NADA is a better guide IMHO. It's what most dealers use.

Prices are averages based off the sale prices. When the market for used bikes (especially Harleys) dropped over he last few years. probably take a while for the price guides to stabilize.
Price guides for older iron is always more of a guess as prices are in a wider range.

There's also a boat load of touring bikes for sale now. Many of the older ones have been traded in on the new '09 and'10 touring Harleys because of the "new" frame.
