I am considering the Cavalry Hard Bags, and wonder if anyone has experience with them. I'd like to know what your opinions are of them, or of any other hard bags out there for an 02 road king.
I bought a set. They look to be a really quality product. They do fit a wee-bit differently than the stock HD ones. The stock pins don't hold them tightly enough to the bracket. This is not a problem for me because I bolt mine on anyway and that works fine. I just got the money together to get them painted so am planning on taking them by the shop in the next couple of days. I plan on posting some pics when I get them back.
I hadn't heard of them before so I googled them. I don't care for the finned looked on the sides. Might look better on a bike though? Are you converting a RK classic? If so, I'd look for some stock hard bags.
That's wierd because it's the fins on the side that attracted me to them. I think that makes them look unique and a bit retro. And they are built VERY well!
I looked into getting a stock set like the ones that come on the ultra but they had too much of the creme color for me. I'm going to paint these all the turquoise color I think.
I took them to the painter today. He sees a LOT of Harley stuff (Combs Custom Cycle). He was really impressed with the bags, the way they were built and the way they looked. I'm pretty pumped!
