I am going to look at a '06 Ultra Classic this week, the woman(divorcing and got the bike) that has it is a co-worker in a different locale, she is asking $14k but negotiable with 8000miles. Supposedly lots of chrome with the Black Cherry over Vivid Black paint, I do not think it to be a CVO or a Limited but I will soon find out.
Sound fair or should I drop an offer around $12?
'03 RK Anniv Ed, Mustang Seats, Monster Ovals and Fuelpak, Tourpak, K&N ac on a S/E base, W1 RKII bars, DCC fairing
her asking price does sound high, but if it is in perfect condition, and there are lots of extras, your price sounds better... the lower the better, the market is flooded with used harleys... sounds like she got the better deal out of the divorce, would have to be her exhusband....
Be careful with this, unless you go and physically inspect the bike and put your hands on it. A guy that I work with was almost screwed on the same kinda deal. Found this bike ('06 Fatboy) and contacted the seller. It was a female who said she had won the bike in a divorce battle with her husband. Stated she was just trying to sell the bike because she did not ride and was no use to her. The guy at work asked to go see it and she stated that the bike was already crated and ready for sale. She sent numerous pics of the bike and talked it up. Every time he attempted to contact her about seeing the bike, she would come up with a different excuse why it "probably would be a waste of time" to come see the bike. He contacted a friend who was a police officer in the nearby area and come to find out through a little investigation, it was a scam and there was no bike. Just be careful b/c it sounds kinda similar.
If its an '06 it isn't a limited. $14k sounds a little high unless it is a CVO.
Why does everyone assume it was his bike? It could have been hers all along. Careful if she doesn't have the title in her name only, I've seen these things drag out.
