You won't go wrong with either one you choose. Pro's and con's with both. I have the standard and I like the lockable hardbags over the leather saddelbags. Opted with cruise control and ABS brakes (Classic cruise is standard). I also like the HD chrome medallion on the Classic tank better than my pin stripped one. But the wide white walls and spokes weren't for me. First tire replacement I mounted solid black tires since I didn't have to monkey with the small white wall. Both are great bikes!

I went with the RKC and never looked back. I love the leather bags and the nostalgic look. Either way you go, not a bad choice.

I love the retro look of whitewalls with spokes.
They're not THAT tough to keep clean, really.
Just some Comet & a scrubby pad.

And I believe the Classic costs more than the Standard.
I know someone earlier in this thread said the dealer gave him the Standard for the same price.
I'm not sure that was a deal.

Thumbs up RKC or standard ?

I love the looks of both bikes. But I hate cleaning spoke wheels. Also, as clumsy as I am, I think boot heel scuff marks clean off the hard bag lids easier than the leather HE HE.

Tubless tires, and hard bags are why I prefer the Road King. The Classic looks cool though.
