I use a good quality wax and detail with Original Spray Cleaner & Polish. When that runs out I'm going to try a product designed for aircraft called Rejex. It's supposed to be the slickest thing this side of cat crap on a linoleum floor. Got a bud with an airplane that swears by the stuff. He says you can literally swipe the bugs off with a dry towel - no rubbing - and it lasts a long time.
For Bug removal, lay a wet towel over your windshield and fairing for about 5 minutes. Once the bug guts are rehydrated, they wipe right off, no scraping, no rubbing, just wipe them off. Then use pledge again and youre good to go for another day!! It also works great on the front fender, forks, crash bar, whereever you have bug guts..
The only sure way is keep it in the garage and don't move it. but you could get a stray bug even there. Other than that, it just goes with riding. I have a little chip in my fairing from a rock. Pissed me off at first, now I just wax it good and drive on.
Pledge, I use it on pretty much the whole bike. Don't leave the bugs stuck on it too long.
Takes about 2 minutes to repledge and wipe down the front end after a ride.
Any tips for protecting your fairing form damage from bugs etc. Any special waxes or other products? I know it's not gonna be new forever but i wanna try to keep my 2010 looking good.....
plenty of wax .good quality of course or like i was going to do is order some clear plastic film material that you use on bag tops and fairings .google clear film protectant for motorcycles .they even cut everything to fit .you put it on with a sqeegee and water. can barely see it .might cost a little but good protection ride safe
A 50 / 50 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water will dissolve the bug guts,
wings, and skeletal remains from your faring and windshield.
Never Dull will clean their remains from your chrome.......
Then wipe with Pledge for that fresh lemony scent

I've been using this stuff for years, and I think it's a great product. In between washes, I use a Pledge "grab it" dust cloth and just wipe the bike down. For bugs, I use a damp microfiber and they just wipe right off! www.zainostore.com
