I am about to go crazy. I just change the tour pack LENS on my 2007 Ultra from the stock red to smoked. Sounds easy, right? Lens off, take out the white bulb, put in the red bulb and reinstall the smoked lens.
WELL now the BREAK LIGHTS don't work!!! The bulbs light up but only with both filiments on. I put the orginal bulbs back in the tour pack and the break lights still do not work. I can't find a fuse that is broken.
I thought that this was a fluke until I did the same thing to my 98 Wide glide. Take the tail light off, take the white bulb out, put the red bulb in, and put the smoked tail light back on.
WELL now the BREAK LIGHTS don't work on this one either!!!
Someone tell me that I am doing something really stupid and there is an easy fix. I can't belive that alll three of the brake switches (on both bikes) could have gone out.
Were they from Drag Specialties per chance? When I changed mine out I got them through Drag and found out that they sent the wrong bulbs with them. Check to see that you have dual filament 1157 bulbs.
Mr Cujo ... you are a genius and "I" feel really stupid. That was it, for the Ultra, although I would have sworn that I had check that alignment "several" times
Damn, I thought that I at least knew how to change a light bulb.
The Dyna still has the problem, but I will get a new bulb tomorrow, and if that doesn't do it I think that the bulb's inse rtis showing a bit of wear and I may change it and see what happens.
thanks a lot

Use the "edit" function and make your confession at the beginning of the first post; helps others know there wasn't a product problem. Just a suggestion.
