Default C & C Seat

Close to pulling the trigger on a new seat. I have narrowed it down to C&C and a local more expensive custom seat builder. I can get the Solo seat, pillon, and driver backrest for the same price as the local seat. What I wanted to know from those of you who have C&C seats, especially those with the solo seat, are they comfortable for more than just around town. My wife has her own ride and usually doesn't ride with me unless she plans on having a few drinks so the pillion comfort is not an issue. I am mainly concerned with driver comfort and don't want to have a seat for around town and a different one for touring. Also is the backrest really worth it. I know this is all personal preference so I am asking about your personal experience. Thanks

I could do 600 miles a day on my C&C custom. I had the gel insert. Can't vouch for a seat without the gel.

Furthest I've ridden my C&C solo is 300 miles in a day. No problem. Back rest was a little low for me. I remedied that by putting a screw in the post to keep it from sliding further down in the seat.

I've done over 500 miles a day on my C&C "Sport Tour" (I think??) seat w/ no problem. I have the gel but no back rest, unless you count the OL!

131tman,

that is one gorgeous seat! I am leaning towards purchasing another Corbin since I have sat my *** on one for the last 10 years but these C&C seats look really nice and the price is a LOT less than Corbin. I just hate buying sight unseen!

I have the same seat and backrest (black thread though) on my SG.

L.A. to Phoenix, AZ = Zero problems. Great seat. No gel. Backrest is worth it's weight in gold.

I've got the C&C solo with back rest. Love it. The back rest makes a huge difference, and is well worth it. Also had Chuck make me a custom, extra wide pillion for when the wife rides. The pillion is a bit firm for the wife, so I'm fixing to have him make me another one. He gives forum members a 10% discount, so mention that to him. He'll also take the seat back if you don't like it, minus a small restocking fee.
