I had a somewhat similar experience as Marc on my 2007 Dyna., comparing the $1450 Ohlins to the Ricors. I will post a write up in a day or so and reference it here for those who may be interested.

Also, there is another great write up here, on the Dyna sub forum.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...6-shocked.html

After changing the front brakes on mt 2007 Radglide to the new Brembo's, I noticed I had way too much dive when I applied the brakes. Marc installed a set of Intiminators for me.....what a difference! Well worth the money. I currently have Works Trackers shocks in the rear, which are quite a bit better than the Progressive 440s I tried. Hopefully, i will be able to try the Ricor shocks soon.

I agree thanks for a nice write up.

I like the fact that Ricor has enough confidience in their product to offer a 30 day money back guarantee.

I do have one question for you. If you are selling your bike why are you still playing around with shocks?

Default Warranty on Motorcycle Metal Ohlins

As I fully expected, Ohlins stands behind any shock that Motorcycle Metal/ Howard Meissner(I hope I spelled your name correctly) just as they would any other Ohlin shock sold through any other dealer. I am going to try to post Jerry Wohlgemuth's e-mail reply From: jerry.wohlgemuth@ohlinsusa.com

Hello Paul. We do work with Howard. It is unlikely that you will need the warranty coverage but if you do, it will still be available to you. No problem! Just keep all your receipts.
Thank you, Jerry

I purchased these units from Howard Meissner that has a company
called Motorcycle Metal that take Ohlins and sets them(re-valving and
so forth) up for Harley Davidson motorcyles he is located in Davie ,
Florida and I was told he works very closely with Ohlins USA in said
set up of such units. I have been told that he has been trained at
Ohlins and sells these units with Ohlins blessing and full factory
warranty backing such units. If I
need Ohlins to warranty these shocks for any reason will Ohlins USA
stand behind them?

Just for the record. Ricor Racing Shocks, does not have any issues, with Howard, or his relationship with Ohlin. Ohlin makes great shocks, no question about it. Howard has a long time relationship with them and has provided great service for a long time to those who ride Harley's and appreciate the difference between what Harley Davidson provides us "stock" and what he offers through Ohlin.
Ricor recently got into the motorcycle suspension business and we know we don't have the reputation of Ohlin and their long history in this industry.
While we have taken our off road racing technology and experience to Harley's and many other bikes we realize there are a lot of companies already out there with a established base of customers.
We offer a third generation IAS shock, developed from our off road racing experience, that is applicable to street bikes.
Just another choice and it is "YOURS" We guarantee you will appreciate the difference in our 3rd generation IAS technolgy, no matter what you are using now, and will refund your purchase price if you do not.
Just wanted to clarify..."NO" issues with Howard, Ohlin, Works, Progressive or what ever you like and want to use. Choice is up to you, and there are a number of them out there to choose from just like there are in dirt bike, quad, truck, or cars.

What about Progressive Suspension's rear shocks? Are they any good? Can anyone recommend a model # from Progressive for my '91 FLHS Electra Glide Sport?

I should be getting my Ricor shocks real soon. I already have the Intiminator valves in the front. It'll be interesting to see how the whole package works. I'll let you guys know.
