Have been on here reading but first post.I have a 2009 road glide
with se air filter , samson slip on's and race tuner.Getting some work
done at dealer and switching out cams the dealer says go with 203....
is this the right choice for my 96inch ? Any and all advice is welcome.
That's what I have in my bike. The only difference is I also have a 103" motor. After much discussion with the service mgr. about what I was looking for in the way of performance, that was the cam he recommended. This all coincided with a warranty cam replacement job. From what I can tell, the most comparable cam in the HD stable is the 255. After reading the results of several members that went with the 255's I believe I would have gone with them also. The 203's gave a nice bump in power but the 255 offers more torque at a lower rpm than the 203. You really need the torque down low with a heavy touring bike! Doubly so if you have an 07-08 with the taller 1st gear!!! I really do love the 6 speed but HD should have put more thought in the ratio's. Fortunately for you, they did rethink it and got it right......about a year too late for me though!
