Battery slowly draining.

My 04 ultra has the original battery and I started it today for the first time this year after sitting all winter. It cranked right up. You must have something drawing down the battery. Sandcrab gave you good advice about tracking down what exactly it is.

if you know it is going to set for a few days just disconnect one of the bat cables [ NEG is always first ] then let it set , when you hook it back up if its dead take the bat back , and you can do the test light test but if you have a sec. system it will show a draw

I'd take the battery out, charge it fully, take the charger off and check it every hour for 3-4 hours, if it's not holding it's charge, (12.8v I believe) take it back while it's still under warranty. If it is it's definately sounding like a short somewhere.

i was told that if the kill switch is in the run position it draws some power, make sure you turn the kill switch to the off setting

I had the exact same problem on my 06 Ultra last year. Purcahsed a new battery and in a couple of days of not riding and it was dead too.Turned out to be the stereo was constantly drawing power. Once that was swapped out on warrantly I have had no more issues.

Fully charged is 13.8v

your security system draws a small amount of power, as does the radio when the bike is off. The part that keeps the radio presets and clock. Both are very small drains. Have you added an accessories to the bike that need to be manually turned off?
