Default No Electrical

Bikes been on the tender, went to start it up and I don't have any electrical except when I select the aux. and then its only the radio and it is surging. I'm riding a 2004 electraglide classic. I checked the battery and had 12.6 volts. Any help would be appreciated.

If this is the original battery, I would say you need a new one.

+1 on the new battery, it can still read 12V but not have the current capacity to run anything. If you have replaced the battery, check your connections, particularly where the neg terminal goes to the frame.

If you turn the switch to ignition and throw the run switch, you should hear the fuel pump prime, even with a weak battery as long as you have 12 volts. If you have nothing in the ignition position, your problem could be with the switch.

word of warning to night train (and possibly others) riders. lack of electrics or alarm problems, check out the electrics behind the splashguard( in front of the back wheel) found a big lump of rust that turned out to be a circuit breaker and all the wires corroded to the point of breaking off at the slightest touch. cost me three days of wondering and about ten quid and a few crimp on terminals to fix. got me knees a bit dirty

My 99 and 03s batteries both had to be replaced at 8 years.
