Default Key Icon HELP!

I had to install a new battery and know the Key icon stays on all the time when the motor is running.. What do I need to do or look for?

That is the security system. Wierd that it is staying on, but letting the engine start and run. Maybe their is something you need to reset after the battery change?

I don't know. My first thought would be the PIN codes. The HD security system has a way to arm and disarm it with pin codes via the turn signal buttons. The process for using, setting, and changing the code is in the owner's manual.

I wouldn't be surprised if changing the battery erases the currently set code, and that the light is staying on to remind you to set them,. This is just a guess though, but that would be the first thing I would try.

no, it doesn't. where would the safety be in that if it did? all a thief would have to do is disconnect your battery to bypass the security.
