HELP NEEDED....I went to start my 08 ultra yesterday and it wouldnt start even though I had the fob in my pocket... I cant remember if I programmed a passcode or not when I brought the bike home.. What do I need to do to either override the passcode or reprogram the passcode without know the set code? Does anyone know the factory passcode in case I didnt program one? Any help is appreciated....

I’m voting on the battery also.
Just a quick note my local dealer told me that each dealer has their own pass code for every bike they order. The dealer sets it to what you want at time of purchase. I bought a bike from a local dealer however it was traded from another dealer who originally ordered the bike so the dealer I bought the bike from did not know the code. I had to take it in and the connected to the computer and reset it because I didn’t have it set when I bought it.

Depending upon your type of key fob, I've found that my garage door opener uses exactly the same battery. Thought this might be good information if you need to move the bike inside and don't have time to run out and buy a new battery this evening.

FWIW.... I suggest you set your pass code. If you have not then the default is in your owners manual. I speak from personal experience. I was at a rally last year and lost my FOB and was 1500 miles from my spare. Now that I found this site I have heard many stories of dead FOB batteries or lost FOB's. It is a sick feeling when you are in BFE and this happens. I know because I was in that position and knew nothing about the security system. Thank God I was able to call my friend and he searched the net and bailed me out.
The owner's manual, at least mine does, explains how to check what the current code is, change to a new code, and enter the code to override the security system. However, a working fob is required for the first two.
