Default Anyone experience this??

Finally, after seven months of working off and on to get my Street Glide repaired, repainted, and reassembled she roared back to life 2 days ago. Wow what a great feeling to know I had tackled something I knew absolutely nothing about and had been semi-successful. After a couple of days of just riding her around the neighborhood, then checking for loose bolts and nuts here and there, I thought I was ready to finish the assembly (i.e. side covers, bags, etc.) Hold the presses!!!! Now when the tach reaches 2000, the radio goes off, then comes back on when the needle drops below 2 grand. GEEEZZ! What Next?? If anyone has run in to this little gem of a setback, I would like to know what the cure was. I've checked all the harnesses, they seem to be snug, nothing loose or flopping around. all the fuses are tight in the fuse box. Ground wire from battery is tight, I am now officially lost, frustrated, and as confused as an amish electrician. Please help, somebody, anybody?

Absolutely no idea. I guess I would try and find out if anything in the ECM or other motor monitoring "kicks in" at 2000 RPM up and see if those leads are anywhere near the radio wires?

Looked at everything I can find, no change other than a bit more intermittent, still happens a 2K on the tach.

Hoping someone will have a direction to point me in.

How about the antenna and the mount for it?...Has it got a good ground?

Mount and antenna are in their original positions.

Put a meter across your battery and rev it over 2 grand. See what you get. It sounds like it might be your voltage regulator.
