Now there is a sweet idea, more chrome. But I have learned, karma is a bitch , so this one is on me. Plus, if I charged, I would have to reveal exactly how I learned this lesson.

Wink a final thought

This bit of information not only got my pipes roaring, it kept me from having to trailer the beast 120 miles to a dealer. I am in your debt. Thanks to everyone who offered advice. Oh, and bought an extra fob battery-paranoia still runs wild since my Shovel daze

If you are not already doing this...... Battery Tender next year on the battery... I use mine all the time.. I am convinced it will make the battery last way longer than Not using one...

yep, the battery in your fob dun went dead on you, it sounds like, if your flashers are alarming you that your bike is being tampered with. you can bypass that with your code entered using your turn signals as per the owners manual. i just changed batteries on both of my fobs a week ago on my 08. sounds like i did it just in time.

I guess there is a bright side, although it would have alerted you before posting here. You obviously have not done the DIY Radio Shack alarm install. That would have stunk having to listen to that while you went looking for a battery for the fob or trying to remember the right sequence for the other method. But you would have known it was the alarm at that point.
