Short video(s) you can see me cycling through the lights, the HD Fog Lights are very bright and make a huge difference IMHO. I wired it to operate with the Acc switch and they stay on with the high or low beam headlight.
Well done! I've been thinking of getting a pair myself. Always makes me feel uncomfortable watching people riding on the 'wrong' side of the road, but the lights are great.
Thanks Graham if I had known how much light it gives off I would have done it earlier. You due get some ambient light from all the chrome up front, took me about five minuted to get used to it's not in your face it's just light where you didn't have it before. No cars flashed me with all the lights on, figured I must have it aimed right. I think you will like it if you get it.
If you want bright !!! pull the 27w bulbs and put in 55w bulbs, it's like night and day. It works good to find the bush rats in alberta in the evening. Been using them for two years now and they are great, even for the day time you will be seen.
I've been running the HD fogs for two years and wouldn't be without them. I consider them perhaps the best bang for the buck HD offers.
Aiming tip: grab the correct size allen wrench and a bath towel, then ride out to a nice level stretch of dark road and park.....Loosen the allen screws just enuff to rotate the lights on the crash bars, then drape the towel over the headlight and passing lamps...sit on the bike and hold it upright, then reach down and rotate the lights until the top edge is exactly even with each other and where you want them on the road....tighten allen screws and enjoy!
