After about a month with the new (to me) '05 EG Standard, things are going well. I haven't picked up a manual yet, though. I was wondering were the crankcase breather is on these? I've been doing quite a few short hops the last couple weeks. I thought it might be worth a check.
A little disappointed that I've had to add nearly 1/2 a qt. of oil in the last 1000 mi. (3500 mi. on the bike) Maybe the short distances recently have a little to do with it. I'll be watching this. In my book, that's a bit much.
Worth checking with previous owner if he brought the 05 in to the dealer to see if the valave seals were replaced due to oil consumption. in 05 that seemed to be affecting a large number of engines.
