anyone know if the bars on the SE SG are the same as dimensions as the stock ones? I sat on one of these bikes yesterday and it fit me better then my own bike. Can't figure out if it was just the seat (really like the seat) or if the bars were also different.....
I was told the bars are the same just different seat. So it is probably the seat that made the difference. Curious though, did the seat move you lower to the ground and forward? Or how did it move you compared to the stock seat?

I don't know if the bars measure the same or not, but they are definitely not the same bars....The SG bars are stainless, and the SE bars are chrome.

seat was definately lower, and i think it might have moved me a little forward. IF the bars are the same, then it DID move me a little forward cuz it was a more comfartable reach to the grips (i'm 5'6") I think the seat might have been a bit more narow in the front also, it felt like my thigh were more comfortable when i put my feet on the ground...has some nice support behind my behind also..

I'm not really concerned about the material, i was more interested in the dimensions, trying to figure out why the SE SG seems to fit me more comfortable then my stocker... and no, it wasn't all the bling...
Definately the seat. The stock SG seat is wider at the nose. The SESG seat will allow for about an inch lower to the ground due to shape and padding at the nose. Actual seat height is the same for both but the SESG seat is a bit narrower in the nose. The SESG seat can be ordered, its not a SE exclusive option, but for the money there are better aftermarket options (IMHO).
The bars might be a little different because the wires are in the handle bars on the se sg. And not on the sg outside the bars. But at the grips it shouldn't be different.
