Default called moco on my 06. im done!!!

just an note that i called moco today and left message. when they call back i will be as polite as i can in telling them i want my bike replaced. numerous ongoing problems with the bike have put me to the end. main concerns are a front end squeek, that 2 different dealers have looked at and told me they could not find it. one mechanic looked at it, and heard the sqeek and told me he has never heard this sound on an 06 and its not normal, he temporarly fixed the problem somehow and the bike went right back to its old ways, so i took it back and they looked at it, now the service manager told me this is normal because the front end is made of tin yes i said tin, kind of like the tin man in the wizard of oz. huh? anyways so i still have creaky front end, then i start feeling vibrations on the bike, at certain rpms, very annoying it has ruined my vacation time riding because my dealer takes 2 weeks to fix the motor mount in the front that is kinda just sitting there dangling for dear life. oh great now ill get the new and improved mount that is twice as harsh as the stock, how fun?. then i will definatly let them know about the one problem that they did fix after almost killing myself in numereous intersections, yes the injectors, i think i like those babys more than i like the whole bike in general. moco will have to something or they are going to have one angry customer, i have hundreds of friends and clients, that will hear alot of negative if there isnt some kind of benefit coming from this. since i have bought my harley , lets see who has jumped on the band waggon----my dad, 2 very close clients , my brother, my best friend, his brother, and now his dad has 2 have one, and few other guys that have just seen us riding. thats just a few to mention, my bike looks flawless, the perfect dream to me, except for one thing, it doesnt work, might as well just be a frame sitting in the driveway. if i wanted a 1970 that shakes rattles and roles i would have saved my money, and not spent 20k on something i thought would run great, sorry for rambling , but i will update after i talk to moco.

Not to upset you even further, but I went through the same feelings you are going through now. The MoCo probably will not give your complaints a second thought, They will put you through such a run around that you will be pulling your hair out when your done. I finally got my bike replaced, but no thanks to the MoCo, my dealer took it in the shorts on the deal and replaced my bike for me. The MoCo told me straight out that they are "in the business of selling bikes, not buying them back", and anything on the bike is repairable. Good Luck to ya, your gonna need it.

I went 'round-and-'round with HD over a warranty repair which they finally covered after pissing & moaning about it for 4 1/2 months...

Check your state's lemon laws... They might apply. I recommend you file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB was the mediator in my case and did me a good job. The BBB also holds the strings on HD's "in good standing with the BBB" rating. Too many complaints left unanswered and they rating goes south. Also, if HD doesn't want to work with you, file a complaint with your state's attorney general office. They might not do much more than contact HD, but at least the MOCO will know you are serious about your problem.

I found that HD will blow you off until you show them you will not go away. Be tactful, but stand your ground. Just remember, they will fix the problem under warranty. Look in your owner's manual under warranty coverage and it will have some options for you... Good luck and keep us posted.

I forgot to mention the lemon law, At least in Minnesota, and I was told its basically the same nation wide but im not sure, anyway, the Lemon Law does not cover Motorcycles, because its considered a "recreational vehichle". Eventhough Most of us have more into our bikes than some do in the car they drive everyday, we dont get the same laws protecting us. Crock of **** if you ask me.

Agreed you have a long road ahead with the factory.Start leaning on your dealer, even if it takes going every week.Go when you know others will be there.Busy times.Fine your complaint with the BBB.Post your problems on every site you can.Magazines will also get the word out to people not computer friendly.Make them all recognize you when you walk in or know your voice when calling.Someone will get tired of you and do something to shut you up.

Couple months ago, I took the Police Motors Course. Two weeks of mostly lock to lock riding, cranking the hell out of the bars. The Bikes were 06 Roadkings, and had only been in the fleet about 3 weeks, and had less than 500 miles on them at the start of the school.

Everytime I cranked the bars over, they made a funny creaking sound. I asked both Instructors about the noise, and they said it was the grommets that hold the bars to the triple clamp, and was normal.

Just adding a comment, and am in no WAY trying to diagnose your noise, or portray myself as an experienced Harley owner. I wish you luck with it!

ill tell you what, they have not called back, the operetor said it would probably be tomorrow, ive calmed down a bit since i last talked, but they will get an earfull tomorrow. i told them to not even bother having a costomer service rep call me, i want a supervisor. she said that would be fine. i really love this bike. hell i just ordered vivid black hard cop bags for her off ebay, also i calmly went back to the dealer and they snuck me in on thursday which is great, one of the guys there said da%$ nelson "you are here more than i am, and i work here",(i wander why). cause my 4 month old bike, is always down. anyhow i know i just dont have the time to keep dealing with moco, so i know i will take one in the a$$, however they will hear about it.
