I've heard two times where someone on the forum was quoted $5k to go from a new '06 to a new '07. Ignoring the fact that the '07's have the bigger motor and 6 speed, they are asking for $5k to subtract 10 years and 22,000 miles? To move from Evo to TwinCam 88? ABSOLUTELY!! You're gaining warranty, and you'll likely save thousands on maintenance. You're even if you need a rebuild on the Evo anytime in the next ten years, while the TC88 should go 100k. Of course you'll invest a couple of grand or more in options but all in all, it's worth it, but that should net out with the maintenance savings.
Its your $$$ and your bike - If your bike and (what ever) $$$ is OK with you, thats all that matters ---- I would say a good deal would be if they paid you $$$ and gave you a new 07 to boot --- Everyone can/will have a different twist on what is a good deal -- if the wife and kids aren't starving - then go for it... Life is short
I have been to 3 different dealerships looking to trade in my 06 road king standard (black) w/ rineharts, big sucker,pcIII and 3100 miles on my bike....... Each dealership was willing to give me $14,000 and $14,200 for bike w/ the pipes........ So it would be my bike and just under $6500 for a 1yr newer bike.................. Ive decided to sell it on ebay/cycletrader

I got the dealer up to $16750 for my bike, 06' FLHRCI 3800 miles.. Bub's, PCIII, SE Air, Wild1 bars with braided lines. I was going to remove the other extras and put on new bike... But the dealer pissed around too long, sold the Black Ultra I was after and now wants my bike until the new one comes in...LMAO
WZ - I have been to several dealers now..... I have tried (with no sucess) to get each one to give me more for my bike.... none of them would budge...... they said my bike has a value and that its $14,000...... and its in perfect condition.... everytime they pull out the NADA book and say NOPE... no more than $14k
