Default Bike went dead....

Was out riding with friends - stopped for a break - went to restart the bike (it's FI) - I turned the ignition on, turned the run on and accidently hit the start button before the fuel pump was complete - the bike made a wierd noise and I quickly shut the run off because I realized I didn't wait enough - I then turned the ignition off to start the process over again and when I turned the ignition back on....nothing...nada...completely dead. I turned it off and on a couple times and still nothing. I was pretty bummed but decided to wait about 10 minutes. After the ten minute break I turned the ignition on and all was well and I got the bike started......what happened?

Not sure why your bike wouldn't fire up right away but I can tell you that it didn't have anything to do with you starting it too soon. You don't have to wait for the fuel pump to finish priming to hit the starter, really doesn't matter at all.

Cant tell ya what happened, but just so you know, you DO NOT have to wait for the fuel pump to finish before you start the bike..This was a issue when the FI bikes first came out and were put on the cop bikes. It was said to be a safety issue if an officer had to wait for the FI to complete before being able to start the bike to respond to something quickly. The MOCO did say that it was not necessary to wait.

Tripped a breaker and it reset after a minute or so.
