My o7 RG has been sitting for a couple of weeks. its cold here in ny. Went to start it yesterday and it stalled a bunch of times before kicking over and idleing smooth. Now im thinking fuel injection shouldnt act this way but then again I have a tmax that ive been struggling with. The last adjustment was the iac. Was running and starting up great until now ( the sitting around). Anyone else experiencing anything like this or any suggestions would be great.
You may already be doing this but if not make sure you wait until the fuel pump quits running when you turn the ignition on before you hit the start switch. This pressureizes the system and is even more important when it hasn't been started in a while. If it stalls turn the ignition off and then back on and wait for the fuel pump to stop again before hitting the start button again.
Turning the ignition off resets the tmax to the cold start mode. This may notsolveyour problem butto me it sounds like your tmax just didn't set itself in the cold start mode when you started it the first time.
How long have you had the Tmax up and running, might not have had the time to fully adjust itself out. Just guessing, I agree with cowboyglide also, I don't have my Tmax yet, hope it comes in today if I'm lucky, but I've been reading up on them trying to get a head start on working with it. Like the above member said, it shouldn't be hard to start with only two weeks of sitting, I rode mine yesterday after 2 weeks of setting in my shop without a battery tender on it and it started the first time. What kind of problems are you having with it?
I ride all year here in Pa in fact was out this morning 27 degrees.
07 rkc with sert and air and pipes. spits a bit but comes around quickly. for certain you need to let pump pressure up and run good gas especially if sittin a few days here and there. whent hw white stuff hits i generally add stabil to full tank. gas is different in winter....
sounds like you need to get the tmas squared away. not familiar with them but hear good stuff....
