Is there any HD Mechanics here? Just wondering what it would cost to get it right?

This happen to me when I switched from regular oil to synthetic. My bike at that time was six years old with 15000 miles, so its not quite the same. But did you just recently switch to synthetic?

Degrease it, get your dealer to put some leak detector in the motor oil and ride it for a day or 2, shine a black light on it in the dark. If it glows green its the case seal.

Case seal is 6.5 hours labor!
Im just wondering why you would have to go through the dye check when its already known that its engine oil thats seeping?

To VERIFY point of origin before tearing the whole thing apart!

As you can tell by the picture its NOT a new leak and the bike is not very clean.

My '03 Dyna has had the same issue since day one. It really is not an oil leak. There should be no oil between the engine and trans. Every time I wash it, I simply spray a little break cleaner on that area and give it a little scrubbing with my wife's toothbrush. The bike looks fine, but the wife's teeth are getting a little funky looking.
