Not in Australia.

Also, they are Bias ply. Metzlers are radials. Surprised Avon went with Bias ply.

Metzlers have higher speed rating too.

Wink

With the exception of the chopping front tire issue, I ran the Dunlop 407 for 16,500 miles, with 3/32 left, it was warranteed 100%... At 17,250 miles, my factory rear dunlop found a nail(I really don't know haw that happened)I have the tire and wheel warranty, But it still had 5/32 tread left on that one....How do all of you burn through tires so quickly? I'm not that guy doing burnouts but I don't ride like a sissy either. I think I'm going to stick with the Dunlops...

kstang71....Jerry from Odessa....HD sure don't want to address the rear tire issue I am having with the rear tire on my 09 RKC.....We talked before on this one...But I did call Dunlop and they told me to bring it to the dealer and have them call Dunlop...So, maybe there is a problem....I have about 17+k on the rear....just shouldn't be cupping like they are....Jerry

So what is the problem with running Bias ply instead of Radials? EIII's on My 07 and they run fine, even when i had a radial up front.

Dunlops are a harder material so there for last longer. The extreme down side to that is it takes longer for the tires to warm up to operating temperature and they dont stick to the ground near as much.

Dunno really, just the idea of bias ply seems weird. Its a motorcycle not a truck. There hasnt been a sports car made with bias ply tires since like 1973....
