i'm very happy with the improvements they made with the 08 models. i know everyone goes on and on with the 09 and newer frames, but i've had no handling ills with my 08 at all. i do not need the newest gimmick they come out with each year, and that's why i'm really pleased with my 08 streetglide. tbw, ids, brembos, 6 gallon tank, it makes for a great combo, and yes the cruise will work using the ecm on the 07, but i have two friends who have an 07 and an 05 roadking with cruise. it's just so much nicer when you've not got the throttle cables. the 08 is a far better choice than the 07 in that respect. i know that my cruise holds my bike at 72 mph if that's what i set it at. with my friends bikes, it tends to hunt around a bit rather than being seamless like it is with the tbw 08 system.
