i was at the dealer today and saw a street glide.i sat on it and it felt lower and i asked the salesman about it and said it is lower than a roadking and i wanted for it to sit low that way they sale a kit from hd to lower the rk 1 in.so what im asking is if i lower it would it handle better and not so top heavy.

The Street Glide is 1in. lower in the rear and the same in the front. The seat is different which makes it seem lower than it is. I put progressive 12in. shocks on my RKC to lower the rear and it made a lot of difference for me. I'm now going to lower my front end 1in to get me closer to the ground. The Road King Custom came 1in lower front and back than the standard or classic king does. I'm not sure about handling better, but it will put you closer to the ground and shouldn't cause any clearance problems.
I've dropped my RK 1" front and rear since I have a height challenge. I also changed out the bars to prevent my leaning forward. Personally, I think the bike handles better, since I'm in a better position and more in control. Have not had any floorboard scraping.
I had my bike lowered before I took delivery of it. Had the dealer use the HD low profile suspension, front and rear. Rides just fine for me and the wife.
I have an '09 RK Std. that was lowered at the factory. I believe it's about 1in., but I bought the bike used and that's what the owner told me. He also had Heritage style handlebars installed. I'm 6'0" and I have no problem with getting both feet flat when stopped.
The bike handles fine, or I should say I have no problems with handling though it's not as nimble as your everyday crotch rocket. I have yet to scrap the floorboards, but my riding style is more relaxed these days.

i lowered my rk with 1 in. drop air shocks tro begin with but didn't like the ride [bottomed way to easy) i switched to 1 in.lower Progressive 412 shocks and it rides much better no bottoming left forks at stock height didn't notice any difference in handling or top heavy feeling.
can still lean pretty far with only scraping kickstand sometimes
