Default 2006 Ultra GPS Wiring

This is also posted in the tech forum but I wasn't sure which would get the most action. Thanks for your patience with a new guy.

I have a 2006 Ultra and just got a Nuvi 550 gps. I mounted it with a Ram mount on the left handlebar and I wanted to use the cigarrette lighter as a temporary power source but that leads to the first problem and question:
I have no power to the lighter. Which fuse is it and any other advice for troubleshooting? I have a test light and a multimeter and know how to use them. The lighter socket shows no voltage even when the ignition is on. I just want to know where to start.

The second question deals with the accessory switch on the far right of the console. I want to eventually hardwire the gps to be powered on/off with this switch. I have ordered a hardwire harness from gps city which will be here in about a week. Is there an existing accessory wire harness that I can just use? If so, how do I get the ignition switch off so I can remove the swich cover?

There were just a couple of great threads on this subject. Use the search feature and you should be able to pick out which way you want to wire up your GPS.. Hope this helps
