I have a Zumo 660 and downloaded some POI's along with the bmp inages. Mostly hotels and HD dealers. They loaded fine but they don't show up on the map unless I select a specific dealer. I did a search and can't find any answers and also posted on Zumo Forums. I removed them and then reloaded and tried selecting a proximatey. I put in 10,560 ft (2 miles) and drove right past the dealer and the icon didn't show up.
Any suggestions?

Go back to the Zumo forumn and do a search for proximity alerts there is some good info there and I don't remember exactly what or why but you have to add 20' to your total mileage and if you put TourGuide in the POI name it will announce it.
Well, after much trial and error and now a phone call to Garmin, it seems the Zumo 660 will not show POI's on the map as you get close to them without actually selecting a particular POI.
I tried setting proximatelys several different ways and you can drive right by a POI with no notice of any showing on the map. Very disappointing. I wonder if the 550 is the same way? Anybody know?
