Just figured out that my security system doesn't work ? I picked up my 09 Ultra last fall and only rode it a couple of weeks before putting it away for the winter and never noticed. I was more concerned with figuring out how the stereo, intercom and cruise control worked. This morning I went to change my PIN and see that the little red key doesn't flash when the bike is off. It's not set to transport mode. I have the service manual and see that under the seat it what's called the HSFM module but am not sure that means for the security system. Sooo.. can anyone tell me where the module is so I can see if it's possibly loose or unplugged and what fuse controls the security system so I can check that. None of this is covered in the factory service manual.

Since the bike is only 1 year old take it back to the dealer as it is still under warranty.

 

Have an appointment monday. Gonna have the gas tank recall taken care of, the ABS flash upgrade, the Radio Flash upgrade for VOX and I'll have them look at the security module. I don't think it was ever flashed when I picked it up last fall. I just wanted to look at it and see if possibly there was a quick fix in case I wanted to ride this weekend.
