I have that squeaking noise comming from somewhere in front of the motor when sitting idle or accelerating hard when the motor shakes most. Its worse when the bike sits on its sidestand. I'd like to hear from people ont the forum before bringing the bike to the dealer.
--EDIT--
Came across this thread when searching for motor chirp intsead of squeak. If anybody have other toughts, they're welcome.
It is the rubber isolators on your mufflers. Pull the bags off and you will see a rubber hanger at the rear of the muffler, give them a squirt of WD-40 or white lithium grease and the squeak will go away. PS the white grease lasts a little longer.
I've had the same squeak. Squirted a little silicone lube in the rubber hanger and it goes away for quite a while. the silicone dries and doesn't collect any dirt.
I really comes from the front of the motor. In the other thread (wich I forgot to post the link ), the problem seems to be the Heim joint on the upper bracket. All it needs supposedly is a good clean-up and lube. I'll try that and tell you if it solved the problem.
