Default Tune Trapper Hidden Antenna

After hearing about the Tune Trapper hidden antenna here in this forum .. I decided to order one on EBay. While doing a Google search for Tune Trappers I came across this antenna test which included the Tune Trapper I had just purchased. The site didn't give it a very good rating and I was wondering (if any of you out there that have one mounted under your fairing) how the Tune Trapper is working for you. The TT model I ordered is the TT2C2 .. I ride an '03 Road Glide.

Thanks

I have one installed in my bike and it works great. I live in NH in hilly areas and receive most stations without any problem. I was riding in the Shenandoha (sp) Valley in VA last weekend in very rural areas and again had no problem.

I’ve been trapping tunes on my Ultra for a few months now. It’s not as good as the stock whip antenna but it works. If I remember correctly some members had mounted it below the radio with bad results. I’ve heard it works better mounted above the radio so that is where I mounted mine.

I have one and it works just fine and now I don't have that whip poking at me every time I walk past my bike.

I love it...could not stand the whip antenna.

The only reception that I sacrifice is an AM sports station out of Buffalo (I live in Rochester, about 60 miles away). It used to come in very well with the whip, now I get a lot of static, but still can listen.

Thanks for the replys .. in the article I linked to above, it talked about maybe the ends of the TT were too close to the magnets on the speakers. Did anyone have a problem installing the TT under the fairing and keeping it away from the magnets?
