Only the orange Pro Super yuners have the save capability. The black versions do not.
Not true. I have a black VCI and have full capability for downloading from the VCI. It's not a matter of black or orange VCIs since the black VCI are identical to the orange after you've updated both the Tuning software and VCI software over the internet. The only reason I believe his software doesn't have the ability to download from the VCI is because he doesn't have 2010 software which is when they added Smarttune.

What version number is your software? Click the set up icon ( CD and screwdriver) on the top and then the software information icon on the side (CD) top line is version number.
I don't have my VCI handy as I am 2 states away from home working, but I have the 2010 version of the SEST software and I opened it. I have the VCI tab in the "open" dialogue box. I upgraded my software to the 2010 version so I am sure you could do the same.
version 1.005.0000 and it is telling me no update required. I am going to try and buy the new software..a few guys tried emailing it, but it wont open. there must be an encryption in it to prevent this.
Got my hands on the newest software and installed it on my comp. It is all good now, that was the issue. The newest version of the software can be used with the earliest version of the SEPST. It reprograms the VCI and I was able to pull the map off of the VCI and save it and modify. Thanks for all the help guys, although after tuning, there is now a problem with my gas gauge not working, but I started another thread about that if anyone has any ideas. Thanks again!

Mine is 3.004.0004
Hi!
How did you get the upgrade to 3.x? Mine says it's 2.002.000 but when i check for upgrades it won't offer me the 3.x upgrade. I called my dealer and they're also using the 2.x version. It seems however that my programmer is used to 3.x (it was programmed in the us and im now in the netherlands). Can anybody send me the 3.x version? my email address is eternia@mac.com. Help is greately appriciated. Without the right map i won't be able to join into this weekend history ride..
