Default Question about installing new bars on RK

I'm looking to put a new set of bars on my RK and I'm curious how much I can get away with using stock wiring. I believe the stock dimensions are 32.5" tip to tip, 5" rise, and 9" pullback. (46.5" total/23.25" each side) I'm assuming that's how you figure length of wire and cable?? If not please tell me how to correctly do it.

How much extra length can you get away with using the stock wiring? (i.e. 1"-2"?) I'm looking for 10" rise for my new bars so I'm going to have to sacrifice width, or pullback, or both. I'm just curious to what I can get away with.

I'd just get whatever bars I wanted, cut the wires, splice in the extra needed and then run them thru the bars....Actually, that is what I did.

Kinda hard to "splice" the throttle and clutch cables.

The stock cables will work just fine wider/and or taller bars if you reroute them a bit. My bars are 39" wide....I gained the slack needed by running the throttle cables outside the nacelle instead of thru it. An added benefit of this is that the cables should last longer since they are no longer in a bind like they are when running behind the nacelle...For the clutch, I ran the cable between the frame down tube and front jug instead of in front of the downtube like the way it came stock.

I am unsure, but if you have to buy new cable and wiring its not going to break the bank. At least on my end

I got a set of Harleys "Tallboys" and used stock stuff. They're great.
