Harley makes a reduced reach footboard mount that raises the passenger boards upto
2 1/4" higher. The part# is 50789-99B and they say it fits all 93 and up touring models. They cost like $125 and at 4'-10" my wife LOVES them.

i was on a road trip with my young son once and he was complaining about the same thing. i stopped at a hardware store, they had some scrap 2x4's laying around and i asked if they could cut 2 pieces about 5 inches long. i bought 2 big screw clamps (radiator hose clamps) and clamped them to the footboards. they worked great for our 1 week trip. this might not work for you because they looked kind of ghetto on there but it was a cheep and easy fix.

I want to thank everyone for your responses and solutions. It looks like I have several options. I'll have to check with the Mrs to see if she would like to raise the board up 2 1/2 inches or go with the adjustable pegs. If it was me I would like to have the versatility of the pegs but she has to like them. I really appreciate it.

My wife is just under 5' and had the same issue - I have an 02 Ultra so at the time, went with the Kuryakyn set up that "Bikes" shows above. She really likes those and they are cheaper than the floor board extensions.
Look around but I think I paid somewhere around 150 or 175, cannot remember.

Good luck,

glenalt, my wife is also 5'0". On my ultra I removed the entire board ***. and installed FLHX rear male peg mounts to which I installed Kury. adjustable lockable offsets #4557 for the 4 inch set [$83.99] and ISO wing mini boards {#4450] for $103.99 .She is very satisfied because they are infinitely adjustable. cobalt07

Reduced Reach Passenger Footboard Mounting Kit

Kit raises the height of your passenger footboards by approximately 2-1/4" for increased passenger comfort. Especially desirable on '97-later Touring models due to the frame and saddlebag guard change. Includes mounting hardware.

50789-99B

Fits '93-later Touring models (except Trike). Does not fit with saddlebag guard bags.

MSRP US $124.95

+1 here. My GF is 5' 1"...and mentioned that the floorboards (stock) were uncomfortable. I ordered the mounts as mentioned above from Lakeshore Harley (lshd1.com). I mounted them....she said it was day and night difference. Much more comfort for her.

Might give em a try. Click the lshd1 link....$99.95
