I have never used the CB Radio/Intercom receptacle until today. I bought a new headset and when I plugged it in, the chrome threaded retainer ring came off that holds the CB Radio/Intercom receptacle in place on the left side of the CB Intercom housing on my '03 Ultra Classic.
After taking the complete chrome upper housing off of the fuel tank to get to the receptacle I discovered that the threads on the plastic CB Intercom receptacle were almost gone and not enough for the chrome retainer ring to screw onto.
Anyone else had this problem? Am I going to have to buy a whole harness that has the receptacle on it?
