Default cb radio

Can anyone explain how to set-up the cb radio. I would like to listen to it sometimes even though I don't have a mic. I held the cb button till it went into set-up radio but never heard any traffic on it.

Well I got it on channel 19 and the volume should still be loud enough. It constantly says set-up. How do I get out of that mode?

The CB on my 05 Ultra only works with the mike and headset plugged in. It doesn't come through on the external speakers. To get out of that mode, either hold down the CB button to turn the CB off, or push the right side thumb button to activate the radio or CD player, with the CB and/or Intercom on VOX interrupt.

Well that is what I was wondering. I wasn't sure if it should play through the external speakers or not.

Thanks

My 05 Ultra CB works fine through the external speakers. Just make sure the CB is showing up on the display, set to channel 19, and then set the squelch lower so you can pick up something - now you'll need to be near folks using channel 19.

What happens, I'll be listening to the radio, then when a trucker keys up and transmitts, my radio will switch to the CB mode and I can hear. Only time you need the mic/headset is if you need to transmitt
