Red oil on the floor

Red oil on the floor
I noticed some red oil on the floor near the front of the tranny and thought the Red Line pepto found a way out of the gearbox. But there was no leak.
Closer examination found the red oil was following the exhaust heat shields from the Heavy Breather air cleaner that was "recharged" about a week ago. I obviously had over did the oiling process. I have done many K&N recharges, but none that are round and sit in the open. So maybe I use too much oil all the time. I normally spray a line on the top of each pleat.
Just a note to those with K&N so they don't have to look as dumb as I did today.
Or maybe get out and run the scoot instead of leaving it sit after the recharge job. ;-)
