Sold my 2007 Street Glide (Vivid Black) now need to purchase another ride. I plan on going new, really like 2010 Street Glide (Scarlet Red) with CVO wheels / 200mm rear tire, painted inner faring, chrome forks(lowered one inch) but, another ride that was interesting at the dealer was a Ultra Limited (Scarlet Red / Vivid Black). Never rode a Ultra - looking for some comments on ride comfort, handling, dislikes from you Ultra riders. What the pros and cons on 103's.
You will not regret getting a Ultra Limited. The best Ultra I've ridden so far. I think there is another thread still going about this same topic, Street Glide vs Ultra. See if you can find it. A lot of good info on both bikes.
I went from an '06 Street Glide to a 2010Ultra Limited (Red/Black), I'm 5'7" so i did notice the weight difference when doing low speed handling and backing up.
I'm very happy with the bike, just an adjustment period for the differences.
I moved from an 07 street glide to an ultra limited. At first I started looking for a newer street glide. Just wasn't sure if I was ready for the big touring bike. After haveing my ultra for a few months I am glad I made the move. bike handles better then my 07 street glide (except when trying to back up). I would be lost without the trunk (its so handy) and you would be amazed what u can fit in there.
The street glide has a great look to it. But I am glad I made the change.
I traded in my vivid black 07 Streetglide on the Limited. I miss the SG for around town, it looked more "sporty". The ride of the Ltd is amazing, comfort blows the SG away, 4 speaker stereo rocks, heated grips? Love'em. I really enjoyed my SG, 34k in two years, but the Ltd is the cats azz.
