Default Belt Alignment

I noticed that after installing my new 18" rear wheel that the belt is touching the side of the battery box. My bike is an '08 model w/ ABS and I'm using the stock rotor and pulley. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Am I missing something?

I've seen this happen with exchanging rims and the inner hub is a different size.Take your side to side measurments and make sure its the same. Sound like you have an alignment issue or different hub size if I'm understanding you correctly

BigDog,

These are aftermarket wheels. I will measure the inner hub in the morning.

Sounds like you need to shim the pulley out a tad.Lift the rear wheel off the floor and spin the wheel while sighting down the belt it should be obvious.
