That's the kit I have too. Haven't used it yet but it'll be hard enough to fix something on the side of the road, don't need to fiddle fu** with cheap tools

I have this kit, (brother is a Snap-on dealer), and he gave it to me for Christmas, you can get cheaper, but you can damn near take the entire bike apart, and put it back together with this kit.....http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....group_ID=17898

I always have baling wire in addition to what others have said. Also I have a Leatherman Wave on me all the time.

Heard of folks loosing/damaging clutch levers and shifters....u r screwed obviously without em. Something to consider to have on a long tour....

The bike will come with a minimal tool kit. Some of the kits recommended here are nice but overkill for hauling down the road. How much can you do while on the side of the road. I do carry a rather robust kit on my 95 Fatboy, but then I can overhaul the engine in a parking lot. Do you have the capability to do this or not. The best thing to do is look closely at the bike figure out what YOU can easily do on the road and determine what wrenches you need to do it. A good folding torx driver set from sears will do most of the misc screws you have. Wrenches to adjust the clutch, a phillips screwdriver to remove the seat, spark plug wrench, vise grips, duct tape, a tubeless tire repair kit with CO2 cartridge. Long trips and remote areas for riding will require a bit more than what you need for local/group riding. When I was riding in Russia in 2005 I had to replace the intake manifold gaskets on the Fatboy, all the tools and paper gaskets were with me as I had problems with them blowing out before. NO HD dealers in Vladivostok.

Duct tape, electircal tape, baling wire and zip ties will help hold your bike together until you get it to a shop or home.

The bike will come with a tool kit. It is actually quite versatile. I upgraded mine with a few items along with a roll of good tape and a few zip ties and some mechanics wire. I have actually used it, once. I got a cell phone and a credit card, don't go many places without cell coverage.

Thanks for all the suggestions. After careful consideration, I believe that Nocoloco is spot on.
