You can drill the oil return holes in the rocker arms below the breather there is two holes dill them to a # 43 bit is is not much but it will stop the oil in the air cleaner and get it back down in the motor faster. It is not much bigger than the factory hole.

Oil stays above add mark between changes, never need to add any. Mobil 1 V-Twin, 5000 mile changes. 42,000 total miles. Don't need to add oil to Buell S1W either.

The theory on this is uneven expansion due to uneven cooing(hot spots) over the cylinders so at times the rings are not sealing as well as w/c engines which usually don't see uneven cooling on their cylinders.

Always keep mine on the full mark. Only time I get oil misting back onto the ECU cover is when my air cleaner needs servicing. Seems odd, but there it is. Amsoil 20-50 all year, ride fairly moderately.

3.5 Qts. and check of which it generally stays right in the middle of which is where I like it to stay, not too full and not to point where it needs added to. You do not want to overfill your oil bag, otherwise you will start to develop blow-by.
Better a little on the light side than on the full side.
